Sunk Revolutions

Revolutions gone bad ,
The graves lay barren,
In our quest for immortality,
Living our deaths, day to day.

This day, the Lord forgotten,
In miseries, we still seek poets,
Their twisted words, their politics,
To shelter us from the war of minds.

The mighty shall prevail, they say,
When nothing left to conquer;
Death will have his last laugh,
Our scum are no longer his to take.

Foes and friends, poetry in head,
Faces unknown, face to face,
Drawn swords and broken lives,
Thirsting over a fallen dream.

The fox that set this revolution,
Lay quiet in an only grave,
Into the mud he sank,
No more words, no more wisdom,

In search of wealth, the rest left,
Fighting over paper like it were god,
Fires that raged, set forth one nation,
Glory onto man, under shut eyes of the Lord.

Bless This Kiss

She blew life into her falling hair,
Inched closer to my soul,
Sang to me with words so few,
In a silent dark room:
On this lovely night, bless me a kiss,
Propel me into the universe above,
To bring you back its beauty in my eyes,
Yours to keep like a blinking star.

I hold her by my side,
She is the vision of my tomorrow,
I am lost without her eyes.

She bit my lips,
With the touch of silk;
Spoke to me, ever so sweet,
As her tongue played its flute,
I gave myself into those soft words,
I flew carefree in her world,
My wealth had no meaning,
My love had no boundaries,.

I submit to her nature,
No crown , no glory can keep me,
On a lovely night, to bless her this kiss.

A Summer Afternoon

On a hot summer afternoon,
Wishing for rain again and again,
To beat down like drums.

Harder and harder,
On my arms, in my face,
To cool me and my skin.

With a head that never stops spining,
For a little sleep that never sets,
I sit curled in a cool shelter.

I take one extra look for the clouds,
That are no where to be found,
On a clear sky, blue for miles and miles.

On a hot summer afternoon,
Wishing for rain again and again,
For that cleansing so long due.

My Learning

I have learnt to walk, I have learnt to run,
I have learnt to talk, I have learnt to shout,
I have learnt to cry, I have learnt to laugh,
I have learnt to smile, I have learnt to hide,
I have learnt to care, I have learnt to forget,
I have learnt to love, I have learnt to hate,
I have learnt to drive, I have learnt to race,
I have learnt to advise, I have learnt to listen,
I have learnt to work, I have learnt to delegate,
I have learnt to build, I have learnt to destroy,
I have learnt to think, I have learnt to decide,
I have learnt to matter, I have learnt to disappear,
I have learnt to pressure, I have learnt to mentor,
I have learnt to keep, I have learnt to part,
I have learnt to act, I have learnt to be,
I have learnt to party, I have learnt to sleep,
I have learnt to test, I have learnt to propose,
I have learnt to win, I have learnt to lose,
I have learnt to grow, I have learnt to resign,
I have learnt to earn, I have learnt to spend
I have learnt to promise, I have learnt to fulfill,
I have learnt....
I have learnt....
I have learnt....

With so much more to learn, I have learnt:
I am learning to live, I am living to learn.

In Your Smile

In your smile, there is a secret
Hidden from your own eyes,
A mystery waiting to blossom,
Whiter than your whitest lie.

In your smile, there is a touch,
Showered onto only your most precious,
Family, pets and those bald little babies.
Never to this stranger from far far away.

In your smile, there is a thought,
Of a shoulder to hide your fear,
To hold the best and hide the worst,
With waiting words to brighten a lonely day.

In your smile, there is a light,
That lead this stranger to your land,
So far, no matter, yet I wonder,
Will that smile forever shine?

Tears That Swept Her

Tears that swept her; a broken dream,
Flooded memories deep within your eyes.
You shiver in the chill of your breath,
Words left unsaid echo within your thoughts.
A smile to cover your fears,
Feeling naked and cheated,
You ran from the world,
You ran from yourself.

Tears that swept her; a broken girl,
Unkept promises and forgotten freinds.
Your knees failed to hold their own,
Emotions left untouched leave you breathless.
A scream to break your silence,
Feeling lonely and helpless,
You ran from the world,
You ran from yourself.
